The Breakfast Club (1985)

This hit me hard.
When Andy says to Bender how worthless he is in the beginning of the film, he probably doesn’t even think it twice. He brushes it off and goes on with his life, and most likely forgets all about it.
But near the end, Bender repeats what Andy said to him word to word. It clearly had an impact on him. Even though he’s acting all tough, Andy’s words got through to him. They hurt him.
Maybe I’m overanalyzing shit No, fuck that. This is a good example on the impact of words. We all have said things we don’t mean. These things may mean little to us, but they might hurt someone else. And in the worst case scenario, their impact can have long lasting consequences.
*end rant*
